This ministry provides education and requirements for becoming a member
of our growing faith family. This ministry is presided over by our team of Lay Delegates.
What Membership Means to Us
Membership in the church is an important step in a journey of faith. Becoming a member signifies that you have found and embraced a spiritual community. Membership is one of the ways we affirm our commitment to discipleship. It is a way of belonging, of serving and of being part of the vision and goals of All God's Children MCC (AGC).
Mission
The Membership Development Team exists to develop richer relationships within the fellowship of All God's Children MCC, and to nurture and assist in their spiritual growth. The team facilitates finding or providing the affirming support and opportunities for each congregant or visitor of the church.
Goals
- Expand membership at AGC by organizing and facilitating quarterly membership classes.
- Instruct people in knowing that we are an affirming community where we know ourselves to be blessed and ready to bless others.
- Follow up with new members assisting them in finding their passions and places to serve in the church's work and ministry.
- Be a point of contact for members seeking support and information about AGC.
Upcoming Membership Classes
To help you learn and discern, we offer a two part membership class. Our next membership information session (part one) is scheduled for Sunday, May 16 in the Chapel at 10:15 AM between the two worship services. The first session covers basic information about the local church and our denomination, and asks you to do some homework and reflection before attending the covenant class (part two). The covenant session will deepen your understanding and help clarify your decision. You’ll also begin making friendships with others in your class. Classes are held following worship on selected Sundays.
